Terms of Service

Last Updated: August 17, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the ScreenwritePro website and the professional services provided by ScreenwritePro.

By using this website or engaging ScreenwritePro for services, you agree to comply with these Terms and any separate agreement applicable to your project.

1. About ScreenwritePro

ScreenwritePro provides professional screenplay writing and development services, including original screenplay writing, book-to-screen adaptation, memoir adaptation, script doctoring, script coverage, treatments, pitch development, documentary development, and publisher services.

2. Website Use

You may use this website for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website or its systems
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the website
  • Copy or reproduce website content without permission
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
  • Use the website to distribute malicious software or harmful material

3. Services

Descriptions of our services on this website are provided for general information.

The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, revision process, fees, payment terms, ownership provisions, confidentiality obligations, and other conditions applicable to a project will be established through the relevant client agreement or statement of work.

4. Project Submissions

Submitting an inquiry or project description through the website does not create a client relationship.

We may request additional information before determining whether a project is appropriate for our services.

Please do not submit confidential information through a general contact form unless specifically requested.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information and materials reasonably necessary for the performance of the agreed services.

Where a project involves an existing book, screenplay, memoir, life story, or other intellectual property, the client is responsible for having the necessary rights or authorization to commission the work.

Clients are also responsible for ensuring that information provided to ScreenwritePro does not knowingly infringe the rights of another person or entity.

6. Intellectual Property

Ownership of work created for a client is governed by the applicable project agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, website content, branding, text, graphics, logos, and other materials belonging to ScreenwritePro remain the property of ScreenwritePro or its respective rights holders.

Nothing on this website transfers ownership of ScreenwritePro's intellectual property to a visitor.

7. Third-Party Intellectual Property

ScreenwritePro does not claim ownership of client-owned manuscripts, books, concepts, characters, or other source material provided for a project.

The client's rights and ScreenwritePro's rights in completed work will be determined by the applicable written agreement.

8. Creative Development and No Guarantee of Production

Screenwriting and development services involve creative and commercial judgment.

ScreenwritePro does not guarantee that a screenplay, treatment, book adaptation, documentary project, or other development material will be:

  • Purchased
  • Optioned
  • Represented
  • Read by a specific producer or studio
  • Financed
  • Produced
  • Distributed
  • Acquired by a streaming platform
  • Accepted by a competition, laboratory, agency, or other organization

Where ScreenwritePro offers access to an internal vetting or submission process, submission does not guarantee that a project will be read, requested, represented, optioned, sold, financed, or produced.

9. Industry Relationships

ScreenwritePro may maintain professional relationships with individuals and organizations in publishing, film, television, and related industries.

Any reference to an industry relationship or submission opportunity does not constitute a guarantee of consideration, representation, financing, production, or commercial success.

10. Fees and Payments

Fees, deposits, payment schedules, refunds, revision limits, delivery dates, and other financial terms are governed by the applicable project agreement.

The prices displayed on the website may represent starting prices and may not apply to every project.

A final project quote may depend on factors including page count, source-material length, project complexity, format, development requirements, and scope of work.

11. Revisions

Where revisions are included in a project, the number and scope of included revisions will be determined by the applicable project agreement.

Additional revisions or services outside the agreed scope may be subject to additional fees.

12. Timelines

Project timelines depend on the scope of the work, availability of source material, client feedback, approval periods, revision requirements, and other factors.

Any timeline communicated before a project agreement is finalized should be treated as an estimate unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.

13. Website Content

We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and current.

However, service descriptions, pricing, examples, availability, and other information may change without notice.

Website content is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute legal, financial, investment, or professional legal advice.

14. External Links

The website may contain links to third-party websites.

ScreenwritePro is not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices, or policies of third-party websites.

15. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ScreenwritePro makes no guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ScreenwritePro will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses arising from use of the website or services except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Any limitations applicable to a specific client engagement will be governed by the applicable project agreement.

17. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims arising from your unlawful use of the website, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another party's rights through materials you provide to ScreenwritePro.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when our website, services, or business practices change.

The updated version will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.

19. Governing Law
