ScreenwritePro
Professional Screenplay Writing by Industry Insiders.
Your Story, Reimagined for the Screen.
Start Your ProjectThe entertainment industry is often a black hole for creators. You have a compelling manuscript, a brilliant original concept, or a documentary in the making, but without the technical craft of a production-ready script and a path to the right desk, even the best stories stay buried.
ScreenwritePro was founded to solve that.
We are a boutique development agency that specializes in transforming ideas and IP into cinematic assets. We develop projects that speak the language of producers, studios, and executives.
With over 100 screenwriting and development projects completed in four years of operation, we bring professional writing, development expertise, and a structured process to every project we undertake.
Your Story, Industry-Ready
Most screenwriting services deliver a PDF and wish you luck. At ScreenwritePro, we approach every project as a development partner. Whether you are an author looking to monetize your backlist, an indie filmmaker needing a polished draft, or a publisher seeking to expand your authors' reach, our work is built on three pillars:
Studio-Vetted Craft
Our team works across structure, pacing, character development, dialogue, visual storytelling, and professional screenplay formatting. Each project is developed with the standards expected of professional film and television materials in mind:
- Thriller & Crime
- Romance & Drama
- Sci-Fi & Fantasy
- Historical & Period Drama
- Documentary & Docuseries
- Horror and other commercial genres
Strategic Development
We provide the secondary assets the industry demands:
- Book-to-Screen Adaptations: Turning books into complete scripts.
- Script Doctoring: Fixing broken structures and sharpening dialogue.
- Professional Treatments & Pitch Decks: Development materials that present the story structure, characters, tone, and visual direction before or alongside a screenplay.
The Vetted Pipeline
ScreenwritePro maintains a professional relationship with Brendan Deneen, who leads Blackstone Publishing's Film & TV division. We do not submit every project we develop. Completed projects first undergo our internal review process, and work that meets our standards may be submitted to Brendan for consideration.
Submission does not guarantee that a project will be read, requested, represented, optioned, sold, or produced.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who owns the rights to the script?
Our standard agreements are structured so that the client retains the agreed rights and ownership of the commissioned work. The specific ownership terms are set out in the written agreement for each project.
What is the screenplay writing process?
The process begins with understanding the project's story, characters, source material, goals, and intended audience. Depending on the project, development may include story development, outlining, treatment development, drafting, feedback, and revisions. The specific process is determined by the scope of the project before writing begins.
What is the "Brendan Deneen" pipeline?
Brendan Deneen is a high-level industry executive with a track record of book-to-film success. Because we have a running partnership with him, we vet our own output. If a project is exceptional, we have the direct link to give it the opportunity to be seen by a decision-maker. Note that submission does not guarantee that a project will be reviewed, represented, optioned, sold, or produced.
How much does a professional screenplay cost?
ScreenwritePro's professional screenplay writing service starts at $7,999. The final price depends on the scope and complexity of the project, including the screenplay format, length, development requirements, and level of writing support required.
How can ScreenwritePro offer screenplay writing starting at $7,999?
ScreenwritePro operates with a leaner business model than traditional Hollywood representation and production structures, allowing it to offer professional script development services at a lower price than many traditional writer arrangements. Under the current WGA agreement, the minimum for high-budget feature screenplay work is substantially above our $7,999 starting price.
How many revisions are included?
The number and scope of revisions depend on the service and project agreement. Before work begins, we establish the expected deliverables, feedback process, and revision scope so both sides understand what is included. Additional revisions or substantial changes to the agreed direction can be quoted separately when necessary.
How long does it take to write a screenplay?
The timeline depends on the project's length, complexity, source material, development requirements, and revision scope. A straightforward screenplay project and a book-to-screen adaptation can require very different development timelines. ScreenwritePro provides a project-specific timeline after reviewing the material and determining the scope of work.
Can I discuss my project before deciding whether to hire ScreenwritePro?
Yes. The initial discussion is used to understand the project, source material, intended format, goals, and scope of work. It also provides an opportunity to determine whether the requested service is appropriate for the project before a final scope and quote are established.
Does ScreenwritePro submit completed screenplays to producers or studios?
Screenwriting and development services do not automatically guarantee submission, representation, production, financing, or acquisition. Where submission or industry introductions are part of a specific project or agreement, those arrangements should be confirmed separately. The primary purpose of the writing service is to develop the material into the agreed professional deliverable.
How does payment work?
Payment terms depend on the service, project scope, and agreement. The payment schedule, deliverables, revision terms, and other project conditions are established before work begins so the client knows what is included and when payments are due.
